Grade 8 Winterlude Overnight Personal Gear List
Wednesday January 29 – Thursday, January 30, 2025
January 29 – students will be participating in either alpine skiing or snowboarding
January 30 – students will be participating in a snowshoe hike with some winter skills training
Please pack only what is required as space is limited in travelling to and from the mountain.
REQUIRED CLOTHING
sport specific equipment such as helmets, skis, poles, snowboards, snowshoes, etc will be available for rent.
1 winter coat (or raincoat), preferably waterproof
warm insulating layers for under raincoat (sweater, fleece, down)
1 pair rain/snow pants (outer layer for playing in snow)
ski goggles
1 t-shirt ( polypropylene or other synthetic will keep you warmer – NO cotton )
1 long sleeve shirt / light fleece (non-cotton)
long underwear bottoms (non-cotton)
non- cotton, quick dry pants or tights (fleece is great here)
wool socks – 4 pair
winter boots suitable for walking distances
neck warmer
toque
winter gloves
water bottle (that can handle hot water)
1 large day pack capable of holding lunch, water, extra layers and some group gear.
Swimsuit and towel (for hot tub)
Chalet clothing (to wear indoors in the evening)
Pajamas
Toiletries for overnight
Duffel or backpack to hold the items not being worn on the slopes on day one
OPTIONAL ITEMS
sunglasses
whistle (in jacket pocket or tied to jacket)
sun hat
balaclava
camera
headlamp or small flashlight
